Tying up her shoe laces, Lyrinn kept on look out for anyone in her home. She shuddered nervously, flinging her coat on and putting the hood over her head, covering most of her face. It was a long, black jacket that trailed to the ground, covering all of her body.
She licked her hand and smoothed her fringe, drawing in a breath and pushing her way into the kitchen. She looked around. It was like a normal day in her home. Mother was cooking breakfast. Father was attempting to wash their wild Husky, and her younger brother, Sam, was working on one of his death-defying experiments.
Lyrinn smiled to herself, and then sighed as she saw exactly what she expected to see.
Her mother burnt the toast and had spilt the eggs and bacon onto the floor. Her father had been pushed into the freezing water by the Husky and it was now padding out of the door, proudly. And her little brother had the experiment blow up in his face.
Yes, and normal day for everyone... apart from herself, something had happened to Lyrinn today, something that had never happened before, something strange.
Her mother turned sharply to look at Lyrinn.
"Lyrinn! Why are you wearing a coat indoors?" She asked, not angrily, but calmly, with a soft, soothing voice.
"Well... Uhh" She started, stuck for words, but her father soon butted in.
"And MY coat too!" He yelled, still, calmly.
"But.. uh.." Lyrinn mumbled again, when she saw her brother pointing up at her.
"And what are they poking out?!" He questioned, tweeking his glasses.
Lyrinn didn't know what to say to her mum or dad, but did for her brother.
"Earmuffs!" She yelped, knowing it wasn't true, but grinning to try and show it was, "now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go to School" She shouted, and stormed out of the door.
Her parents looked bemused for a second until the young Husky came bounding in and splashed in water, soaking both of them.
Lyrinn walked slowly down the street, breathing cool air from her mouth in the freezing morning. She laughed to herself, picturing her father being pushed into the water by her Husky.
"Ah, Tawny. You and I have alot in common now" She said to herself, obviously talking about the Husky.
But as Lyrinn looked up, she saw a young, very pretty girl walk up to her. The girl had long, golden locks of hair that trailed down to her feet and had shining ocean blue eyes. She was wearing tight little mini shorts and had a tiny boob tube on. She was wearing bright pink lipstick and yellow eyeliner, that clashed horribly. She had thin, plucked eye lashes and a big beauty spot on the edge of her cheek.
Lyrinn shuddered at this horiffic sight, before the young girl poked her.
"Hey, weirdo! I see you finnaly decided to cover them ears!" She girl yelled in a sqeaky voice, half way through chewing some gum.
"Hello, Samantha. I see you still haven't learnt any sort of Grammar" Lyrinn said back, with no anger in her voice.
Samantha stuck her tongue out, looking ugly with her sneering, scrunched up face.
"What're you wearing that coat for? Going to a freak show? Oh no, wait, you already am!" Samantha chuckled.
"Ugh" Lyrinn told, wanting to kill Samantha for her lack of Grammar, "you know why..."
"I do, you freak. Now, get outta my sight or I'll pound'ou!" She said and turned with her hands on her hips, swinging them and walking off down the street in a huff.
Lyrinn stood still and looked at her feet at the ground. Her long black hair fell forwards as she scrunched up eyes. A few tears landed on the ground as she recoiled into a ball, hating herself for something that wasn't her fault.
She slowly stood up and took a different route, there was no way she'd make it to school in time by walking now, so she had to catch the bus.
Lyrinn would have continued walking if someone hadn't of shouted her name.
"HEY LYRINN! LYRINN!" A boy shouted.
His voice was so familiar, she knew who it was right away. Kyba. Kyba was a teenage boy, her age of 16, and was very good looking. His purple hair with florecent blue ends always sparkeled in the sun, even when there was no sun at all.
(Sorry guys, I'll continue the next time I find an internet cafe`. See you later!)
